RUG HOOKING *SOLD OUT*

Rugs are the perfect epitome of functional art -- they transform spaces, bring warmth, and act as tangible meeting grounds for utility and beauty. The practice of making rugs by hand is methodic and rewarding, and helps to forge strong connections to a history of resourceful artisans, ethical materials, and a gravitational pull to DIY.

In this 3 hour class you'll learn and explore a form of traditional rug hooking, revitalized for contemporary makers. We'll take you through prepping and selecting your materials, planning and executing an original design, basic stitches for achieving a sturdy rug, and finishing techniques.

Students will leave class with a semi-completed rug, but all the materials and tools (including a full colour instruction booklet) necessary to finish the project at home. Invest in yourself, prioritize skill-building experiences, and learn the highly-addictive craft of rug hooking!
