MODERN SCRIPT LETTERING: LEVEL 2, PART 1 *SOLD OUT*

This class explores the technique of addressing envelopes: the most sought out project from the hands of professional calligraphers and truly a cherished skill for those who appreciate the art of the mailed letter.

The focus is on the pen and nib with varying inks, including coloured and metallic. Topics will include testing and mixing inks, layout and style, and working through the client process. Many demonstrations will take place, and there will be lots of time for practice and feedback.  At the end of the class, students will have a finished envelope and note addressed to a loved one, ready to mail out to show off their new skills.

An essentials calligraphy supply kit, valued at $30, is included.  Kit includes: 2 new nibs, gold iridescent ink, white ink, and a small batch of envelopes and notecards for the final project, including both dark and light coloured paper.
